Oral Hygiene

Excellent oral hygiene is always important but while you have braces, it’s even more important!

Our goal is for your smile to be as beautiful as possible when your treatment is finished and your braces come off. To help keep you focused on cleaning your teeth thoroughly, we will give you a “grade” at each visit:

A = Excellent
B = Good, missing a few areas
C = Plaque and swollen gums
D = Very poor, high risk of permanent stains (decalcification)
F = Extremely poor, decalcification present

Be sure to see your regular dentist for routine exams and cleaning too.

We look forward to working with you on great grades (“straight A’s!”) and a great smile!

In addition to brushing, flossing and taking care of your teeth and braces, we have some other suggestions to help you feel confident that you are moving your treatment plan along.

Here’s how you can be REALLY good at this braces thing . . . .
